Smothered Bowels - Dead Cunt Dance

This is the second full-length album from Moscow-based outfit, a gore grind outfit that seriously needs a new sense of humour. Musically they’re not too bad to be honest, although it is really basic grind, but it is the “humourous” takes that just get wearing after a very short while. I mean, these guys make Gwar look like upstanding citizens, and that isn’t something that will be said very often. Gwar have a massive tongue in cheek with what they do, and no-one really takes them seriously, but I get the impression that these guys are far more warped. I’m amazed that they were able to make one album, let alone two, and can only guess that the Russian underground scene is even more disturbed and lacking decent music than I thought. 26 songs with an average length of two minutes, so if you don’t like something at least the next one to hate isn’t far away. Yuk.
