Pseudo/Sentai - Blue Solo Mission

The full title of this EP is ‘Blue Solo Mission: Making a Hole in the Center of the First Outside Planet’, the reason being that although it is indicated as a group effort it is actually a solo project from Greg Murphy (Blue) who here just plays keyboards. It’s always hard making a judgement call on the worth of something when there is only one song, and that song in itself is less than four minutes long. But, there is definitely something going on here, as the electronic keyboards drive into the brain and there are definitely some subtleties that make it standout. It is these additional layers that make it stand out more than many solo keyboard pieces I have come across, although in many ways it has more in common with art rock than prog.  It is quite different to the rest of the band’s material, and again is available as a free download from bandcamp.
