Treece-Birch, Darrel - Celestial

Kev Rowland

ImageDarrel is best-known for being the keyboard player in Ten and Nth Ascension, but here he is dabbling in the solo waters and his made his debut album a free download! I came across this quite by accident the other night when messing about on the web, and I am truly glad that I did as here we have a wonderful bringing together of Vangelis and ‘New Age’ Rick Wakeman with JMJ in a wonderful album that is perfect for late night playing. It is music that really brings the listener in and invites them to sit down and stay for the ride as it swirls and moves through melodies. It has just the right amount of edge to maintain interest, and it feels as if we are on a journey through space and time. It is definitely an album that should be played at night, sat on the deck, with just the stars and a good wine in hand.

Like many rock fans I have a strong love for Ten, and have followed them since their debut album, but can honestly say that I never imagined any of those involved with the band to produce anything quite like this.

http://darreltreecebirch.aurovine.com/album/celestial/ is the place to grab this, and it’s free so what are you waiting for? Music as good as this deserves to be heard.
