Summer with 'Alchemy': An Interview with Damian Wilson

Image1. How did your adventure with 'Alchemy' start?

Damian: I was in his kitchen having a cup of tea and he promised me a weekend away of wine, women and song, in Poland. He said my part would be the catch of the production! Turned out I was the old sea captain.

2. How did your work routine look like while recording the album and preparing for the Katowice concert?

Damian: It was home for a while. I had the prime spot of sleeping beneath Clive's keyboards.

3. Do you expect the theatre version of 'Alchemy' in Cheltenham to be more difficult than the Katowice show?

Damian: It will be a theatrical show but unfortunately I won’t be there. I ate all the strawberries in catering and Clive loves strawberries. He was livid!

4. Do you think 'Alchemy' will affect your future career and did your past musical experience help in the 'Alchemy' project?

Damian: I hope with time it will bring me and Clive closer together.

5. Was it your first visit to Poland and how will you remember it?

Damian: As I write I am in Warsaw. The sun is shining and it is warm outside (In fact I am just about to put my washing out to dry). I am here on tour with Threshold. A week or so ago I was here with 'Alchemy' and it was -7 and there was thick snow! I guess I will remember the variety, and the fun we had. The cast was great, the production company 'Metal Mind' were amazing and the people were lovely.
