“Acting Has Always Been a Part of My Life”:
An Interview with Andy Sears (Clive Nolan Musicals)
What role do you play in “Alchemy”?
Andy: I play the arch-villain Jagman. Originally a friend of King, both highly educated men in search of the key to immortality. Whereas King adopts a philanthropic approach to his search, Jagman's quest takes an altogether darker journey along a path of murder, treachery and deceit, ultimately leading to his demise.
What do you like about theatre
Andy: I particularly relish any opportunity to get my teeth stuck into the theatrical world. Acting has always been a part of my life, since early boarding school days.
How are the preparations for “The Fire and the Quest” going?
Andy: Rehearsals are going fine. It's always good to catch up with my fellow thespians and troubadours. Obviously things are so much easier this time around, given the many times we have already performed Alchemy, either as a concert performance or theatrical presentation.
