The debut self-titled from Martina Edoff was released in 2014, with ‘Unity’ coming out a year later, which led to the band touring North America later in 2015. She opened for Tarja Turunen in Argentina, before touring with The Winery Dogs on their European tour in early 2016. The UK audience welcomed her the same year for a mini tour and she later returned to the Rockingham Festival to perform. But, just to clarify something, she isn’t a singer in the style of Tarja, but rather she is a classic female rock singer with plenty of balls. This is anthemic hard rock/metal that puts a smile on the face of the listener from the beginning to the end. When she started to write songs in late 2016 for her third album, she looked for some co-writers to help her achieve her goal, and worked with Jonas Törnqvist (Deathriders, Bleed The Hunger, TreasureLland), Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, Nordic Union, W.E.T), Benny Jansson (Ride The Sky), Billy Sheehan (Mr Big, The Winery Dogs), Jona Tee (H.E.A.T). The result is ‘We Will Align’ is a melodic hard rock album with a bluesy note in her voice. The musicians in the studio are also her band on the road (Björn Höglund (drums), Nalle Påhlsson (bass), Stefan Bergström (guitar) and Jona Tee (keyboards/Hammond and production)) and it shows. This is no project put together with some session guys, but rather is melodic album full of class and power that shines brightly.
