From the very first time I played this six-song fifteen-minute-long EP I was impressed with the sheer viciousness and musical skill on display. This is brutal grind and thrash combining with black metal to create something that is massively over the top and completely essential. But, when I sat down to write the review it was only then that I realised just what I was listening to, as if there was an extreme supergroup then surely this must be it! The band were put together in 2015, and feature Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down), John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), Chase Fraser (Animosity, Decrepit Birth), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index). I often play Agoraphobic Nosebleed, was listening to Pig Destroyer just last week, was having a conversation about Cattle Decapitation the other day, and who doesn’t like Pantera? This is monstrous, massively over the top extreme metal that leads to just one question, when are we going to get a full-length album? Absolutely essential if you want your metal to be massively over the top in just about every way.
