This 2009 EP contains music that for one reason or another didn’t make it onto ‘An Evening Out Of Town’ (mostly for thematic reasons as opposed to quality control). There are also a couple of reworked versions of a couple of songs that have appeared previously, but to my ears this is mostly about continuing the good work of the previous album. All of the trademarks of quality that one expects from KBT are there in copious spades. Complex atmospheric filmscape music that demands to have full attention paid to it at all times – it is yet another triumph. It is certainly not for those who like their music to come to them in easy to understand 4/4 bars with pretty harmonies and boy meets girls lyrics, but if you want a full meal as opposed to a sugar snack then this is for the connoisseur.
